First Scenario:

My opinion for the Mini Cooper and SUV is to hit the SUV. I think hitting the SUV will cause less damage and will not hurt anyone in the car. While hitting the Mini Cooper the person in the car will get hurt or die since the car is small. The ethical perspective that fits this scenario is Principles and Outcomes. Principles because of the minimizing harm to the person. Outcomes fits because there are more benefits in hitting the SUV then hitting the Mini Cooper.

Second Scenario:

My opinion for the Motorcyclist with the helmet and without helmet is to hit the one with the helmet. I chose this because it wouldn't hurt the person with the helmet as much as it would to the one without the helmet. Helmet guy has head protection and the one without it is putting himself at risk. The ethical perspective that fits this scenario is Principles because it minimizes harm. The other motorcyclist without the helmet would benefit since he wouldn't get hurt which means doesn't have to pay medical bills, but will get a ticket for not wearing a helmet which saves the money for the ticket.

I don't think it is a great idea to have a random number generator to make your decisions. What if it hits the mini cooper instead of the SUV which will cause it to kill the people in the mini cooper. If it was generated beforehand then it would hit the SUV which will not cause much damage nor will it kill the passengers. You should be able to make the choices of decisions that you may need while driving in a list beforehand, so the generator doesn't choose the wrong decision causing major problems. According to principles this idea would help minimize harm and can also be of benefit when driving.

I don't think the driver should be held responsible for any outcomes. This is because the car itself is making the decision on what to do not the driver. Also the driver is not controlling the car either like steering the car with the steering wheel. His idea also might have been different then what the cars decision was. He also didn't tell the car to go from that certain way to wherever he/she was going. This is why the driver shouldn't be held responsible.

Passion Project Update

i have continued on my passion project very well in class and at home. i have been able to finish up most of my slides. I did have a little trouble on organizing my information with what goes after what to make sense. All i might have to do is edit my information make sure its correct and it makes sense. I haven't been able to figure out my original question which was why they have long neck? Searching it up and figuring it out is difficult but i think i may find it. I have found the other information about giraffes. This how my passion project is going so far.

Passion Project #2 Update

T be honest i have not gotten much work done due to all my tests we have been having and we are still having which is taken up time in studies.  What i am planning to do is make up all the work throughout this week and do more on the next two Friday's. I have researched a little, but am thinking to do more. After this Friday I will start putting some of my slides together so i won't lose the information and will get more. I hope we don't have more tests, so i can work on this more. This is my plan for the next two Friday's.

Passion Project Update 1

Where my passion project currently stands is in research. I did my starting slide at the beginning and then i started to gather my information. With the information i get i am thinking to separate it into categories so i can then start my power point slides. I have gotten a lot of information so far which helps me to expand my project making it more interesting and it also helps me learn more about them. I have gotten the description and reproduction of the giraffes. With the basics of this I can start putting it into couple of slides to have something going.

PASSION PROJECT 2 -UPDATE

Rutvik Shah

Cyber Security is my second passion project as part of ROGATE 8. My biggest obstacle was narrowing down on my research topic of Cyber Security. On my first passion project, my USB key broke and I had to start all over again. I am glad I was able to complete my first passion project on time.

My biggest achievement for second passion project is exploring my topic for the past five Fridays and with a lot of development on information to share. However now I am very eager to make everyone aware of the cyber security. Every other slide in my power point consists of a question for the class to open up intellectual awareness. There is so much information about cyber security that it’s impossible to fit all that into the number of slides without boring anyone. My parents are also a big help in clarifying and educating me about cyber security. I cannot wait to present my project and expand your knowledge along with me. I hope everyone enjoys the cyber security presentation as much as I did!

I still need to continue working on my questions, power point and my presentation notes.
