My Passion Project Progress Report

My Passion Project started off at a slow pace. More I found out that we didn't have much time I started  working more faster in class. And that was not all I did because I also worked on the project at home. I wanted to get everything ready quickly, but the obstacle i fell into was writing. I always struggle in writing, but not as much as when I was little. What I thought of doing was paraphrasing the authors work to put in my project to make my life of writing much easier. I knew a little bit about certain frogs, so it became easy to add details to the project. Many ups and downs came in my way, but didn't stop me from finishing my project.

What i plan on doing further...

What i plan on doing further in the project is to gather all the information and type it to the project after,so all i have left is to stick the project to my project boards. I plan on finishing the project in the next 3-4 weeks, so i don't have to wait till the last min to finishing anything. I hope i finish the project in my time limit and get it out of my way, so i don't worry about it.

Responsible Citizenship Current Event

People have many options to participate in politics from school, to town, to state, and or nation. Person or group of people can either voice their questions, concerns or write them to Representative or Senator. One can also help by doing campaigns, marching around the town to help, walking around to tell people to vote and writing letters to township are all ways to participate. A group of citizens can gather around to support ideas or questions to move the political process forward. People can also make presentations or get their voice out to talk about political problems. People participate in political things because social and economics are the main points. For a politically active citizen social economics and education are a major concern. These types of issues can be resolved through action groups, petitions and by working with their representatives.

Grades blog posts

There are different purposes for grades. The grades help teachers to be better prepared and know exactly what they need to benefit students and establish individualized benchmarks for them. For the society grades help determine the weaknesses and strengths of each student to provide appropriate resources to master the core content. This leads to different types of grading systems which are standard based grading and traditional based grading. Personally, I prefer of having one grading system from elementary to high school into colleges or universities.

The standard based grading is designed to see how much the student has achieved at a specific grade level. Standard based grading allows teachers to see what they succeeded on and if they should reteach something a student doesn't understand. Standard based grading shows you the details of the things they are learning.

Traditional based grading is used to see how students did on a certain quiz, work, and test. Traditional based grading only shows that the student is doing well. Traditional grading is a simple letter grades for assessments. It is also a simple overall grade for student based on a combination or related and unrelated assessments.

In my opinion of the current grading system is that the system is very easy to understand. It lets you see what grade you got on a test, quiz, or project like a 69 or a 93. The scale is simple enough because you get the grade out of 100%. Helps you see how you can do better next time.

I understood the two different grading systems after the first part of my algebra benchmark. Another example is that the traditional grading system lets you see what you really did wrong. Some of the students get extra credit, but the others who don't because they did not do extra credit work gets left out for a higher grade. If a student brings their assignment late they have points taken off their project grade. Students who bring their assignment on time gets full credit however the other students did a great job, but turned in late.

Both the grading systems tell you about the students’ knowledge, skills, and achievement. We are currently following the combination of both grading systems because tests like the NJASK is graded based on standard based grading. However, other school assessments like tests, homework, quizzes and benchmarks are graded using traditional based grading. This combination of both grading system does not help student master the core content.

                                                                 POSTIVE THING IN LIFE

THERE ARE MANY POSITIVE THINGS IN MY LIFE, BUT THE ONE IMPORTANT THING THAT STOOD OUT TO ME WAS ME BEING ABLE TO DO BETTER IN SCHOOL. I ALWAYS STUDY AND WORK TO ACHIVE WHAT I TRY TO AIM FOR, BUT IT ALWAYS DOESNT WORKOUT. I STARTED TO STUDY, SIT WITH MY PARENTS AND NOW I ALWAYS GET A's ON MY TEST OR OTHER WORK. TO ME WORK IS NOT JUST STUDYING IT IS ALL ABOUT THE KNOWLEDGE AND THE THINKING YOU KNOW ABOUT OR HAVE. FROM THAT TIME ON I ALWAYS STAYED ON TASK AND DID WHATEVER HELPED ME DO BETTER.
